Operations research as used for obtaining the optimal solution under predetermined constraints is frequently considered for transforming theoretical knowledge to practical one in engineering field. Operations research based methods are increasingly used for real world engineering problems recently. This special issue provides researchers to present various operations research based methods in engineering applications. Approaches toward engineering applications can be given as below but not limited to:

• Fuzzy sets and extensions (hesitant, type two interval, intuitionistic, pythagorean, spherical, neutrosophic, orthopair, picture, fermatean etc. )
• MCDM methods (AHP, ANP, DEMATEL, TOPSIS, SWARA, WASPAS, CODAS, PIPRECIA, ARAS, MULTIMOORA, VIKOR, PROMETHEE, MARCOS,MACBETH, FUCOM etc.)
• Data mining, machine learning, soft computing, evolutionary, neural computing algorithms (Clustering, classification, association rules, CART, DBSCAN, ID3, tabu search, simulated annealing, ant colony, genetic algorithms etc.)
• Optimization techniques (network analysis, inventory models, DEA, goal programming, transportation models etc.)
